The Law Offices of Brandon White, PLLC, is offering a $2,500 academic-based scholarship to a graduate or undergraduate student from an accredited college, university, or graduate school.
It focuses on how emerging technologies may influence the future of the legal profession and access to justice, as AI becomes more integrated into courts, law firms, and legal services
The scholarship is open to students from all areas of study, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. The submission should be creative and, ideally, “wow” us. Interested students must use the form on this page to apply, with applications due by December 15, 2026.
Who Is Eligible for The Future of AI and the Law Scholarship?
The Future of AI and the Law Scholarship is open to any undergraduate or graduate student who can meet the following requirements:
- Is already enrolled in or has been accepted at an accredited college, trade school, university, or graduate school in the United States
- Is a United States citizen or otherwise authorized to work or attend school in the U.S.
- Has a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Submits the application in line with the stated requirements
- Agrees to all the scholarship Terms and Conditions
How the Application Process Works
Before applying for the scholarship, please read through our eligibility requirements carefully. If you check all the boxes, you can proceed with the rest of the application.
Start by creating a video on the proposed scholarship topic, then attach the link to your application form.
Once your video is complete:
- Fill out the application form on this page
- Submit your unofficial transcript in PDF format (max. 3 MB)
- Add the URL of your video (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
- Submit your proof of acceptance to university/college/graduate school in PDF format (max. 3 MB)
What the Scholarship Video Should Cover
Your video must be a response to the following prompt:
How will artificial intelligence transform the legal profession over the next decade, and what responsibilities will future lawyers have in ensuring technology is used ethically and fairly?
In your video, please address:
- How AI is currently being used in the legal industry
- Potential benefits and risks of AI in legal practice
- Ethical concerns such as bias, privacy, or accountability
- How future lawyers can help balance innovation with fairness and access to justice.
Use examples, case studies, current events, or hypothetical scenarios to support your ideas.
This scholarship seeks students interested in law, public policy, technology, or ethics who are passionate about shaping the future of justice in an increasingly digital world.
The maximum length of your video should be around 3-5 minutes. Once finished, submit your video to your YouTube account (unlisted) and include a link to the uploaded video in your scholarship application form.
For the videos to be considered eligible, students are required to:
- Record a clear video with good lighting while keeping the device as steady as possible.
- State their full name and the name of the scholarship they are applying for. This should be done either at the beginning or at the end of the video, with credits listed as necessary.
- Cite all sources of information and the media editing tools used in crafting and creating their videos. This information should go in the description of the video.
- Use only copyright-free content, and come up with a creative, catchy title that reflects their ideas.
The Law Offices of Brandon White intends to award this scholarship based on the quality of a video’s script and not a student’s demonstrable video editing skills. Students should take time crafting their speech before sitting down to record.
Students are permitted to use AI when generating B-roll footage. However, the speech for the video must be original, use their own voice, and be produced by themselves. Any usage of AI platforms to automatically generate videos and the use of fake actors without appearing in their own video is strictly prohibited and will lead to automatic disqualification.
Application Deadline
The application deadline for The Future of AI and the Law Scholarship is December 15, 2026.
The Law Offices of Brandon White will not consider any applications received after this date.
Our scholarship selection committee will review all submissions, with the process taking anywhere between one and three months.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept calls, emails, letters, or any other communications about the scholarship. We also cannot answer any questions other than those submitted here. We will be in touch if we need any additional information.
Terms and Conditions
Under our Terms and Conditions, anyone applying must meet the following scholarship-specific eligibility requirements:
- Applicant must be enrolled at a college, trade school, university, or graduate school.
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment.
- Applicant must be a United States resident or citizen.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing.
- Applicant must submit relevant personal information, including name, mailing address, contact information, and academic information.
- Applicant must create an original video on the scholarship topic provided.
The following people will NOT be eligible to apply:
- Anyone already employed by The Law Offices of Brandon White
- Children of employees at The Law Offices of Brandon White
- Previous winners of the Future of AI and the Law Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of The Law Offices of Brandon White if they were to be awarded a scholarship
- Anyone who submits the same video for more than one scholarship
- Anyone who submits the same video for multiple years in a row
Selection & Award Notification Process
All applications must be received before the submission deadline. Incomplete applications or those received after the submission deadline will not be considered.
Applications will be evaluated by a scholarship selection committee. Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or other protected classes will have no bearing on the committee’s decision.
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are not able to answer any questions regarding your application status. We are also unable to provide individual notification to non-winners.
The winners of the scholarship will be notified via email. The Law Offices of Brandon White will also make an announcement via their blog and through a press release.
We will mail the scholarship award to the student’s college, trade school, or university. Instructions for mailing the check will be requested at the time of the award. We reserve the right to reach out to the winner and request additional information and documentation to confirm the student’s enrollment status and academic performance.

Your personal information will not be given, sold, or distributed to third parties.
We reserve the right to use the winners’ names and photos in any announcement or communication related to the Scholarships, on The Law Offices of Brandon White’s website, in marketing materials, or in social media posts.
